Michael Crute - will be presenting a brief tour of the Python programming language before diving into a case detailing how AG Interactive is using Python to manage a complex Linux deployment of a large search engine. He will introduce some examples of how Python can be used to replace shell scripting and examine why one would choose a programming language like Python over shell scripting. The talk is geared towards people with an intermediate level of Linux experience and a casual knowledge of any programming language. ~~~ This is an event off of campus. ACM will be having a Game Night this Thursday at 8:30 PM in the Math and CS building. We'll have console, board, and card games. Oh, and we'll also have free pizza and pop available to all. We'll be running as long as the games are going, so come on down and join in on the fun!
